Oakland Co. exec Patterson, driver file lawsuits seeking damages in car crash


Pontiac — Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and his former driver, James Cram, have filed lawsuits in Oakland Circuit Court this week seeking damages against a Royal Oak man who wascited for causing the Aug. 20 traffic crash that left them with serious injuries.

The lawsuits seeks at least $25,000 from Anthony Michael Prainito, CBS Radio Inc. of Detroit and the Robert Bosch LLC, the Farmington Hills company that leased to Prainito a 2012 Passat involved in the accident.

According to the lawsuit and police reports, Prainito and a passenger, Ray Recchia, both employed by CBS,were westbound on Walton near Opdyke in Auburn Hills about 4 p.m. when Prainito tried to make a left turn in front of a Chrysler 300 eastbound at the intersection and driven by Cram, a retired Michigan State trooper.
